This option may have different names (“Resume from my PCI Device”, for instance), depending on the motherboard and BIOS version. The computer BIOS also needs to be correctly set up.Some power supplies for desktop computers may also be incompatible. You can install the technician console on as many devices as you like and there is no limit to the number of technician accounts that you can set up on the system. For instance, some laptop computers do not support WOL, or only support it while on AC Power. Dameware Remote Everywhere is levied per connected technician and the rate lowers with larger multi-license purchases. Confirm that your hardware supports WOL.To assure maximum compatibility, connect your computer to the network using an ethernet cable.This feature is only available on Windows Consoles.
An ethernet connection is necessary in some cases, as there are some old wireless drivers and devices that do not broadcast this traffic correctly, causing the operation to fail. Your network interface can broadcast WOL network packets.Each computer and network is different, so be sure you test the process with each device you want to wake up before using WOL in production.
